client, you may be prompted to specify if you want to use Outlook Express as
your default e-mail client. To select Outlook Express as your default e-mail
client, click OK.
3. If you are prompted to type your name in the Display name box, click
Cancel, and then click Yes when you receive the following message:
The new Internet account has not been created yet. Are you sure you want to
exit the wizard?
4. In Outlook Express, click Accounts on the Tools menu.
5. Click Add, and then click Mail.
6. In the Display name box, type your name as you want it to appear on your

14. If you want Outlook Express to save your password, leave the Remember
password check box selected.
15. Click Next, and then click Finish.

Outlook Express. To do this, follow these steps:1. When you return to the

Hi:

My Dad has a new computer and wants his aol to go through his windows mail.
I have followed all directions and it does not work. He can not send mail.
Your directions say there are imap tabs. We do not have that on our account
set up screen. We have originally set it up as a POP 3 for incoming mail.
Does POP 3 affect outgoing mail? Incoming work works fine. We have Windows
XP Vista

? I fail to see what your issue has to do with the resolution given
to the original poster. If you need help with a specific email problem,
please describe your issue.

This entire section is redundant because the same posting does not apply to
people who do not have aol. Does anyone out there know how to create a wizard
with a non-aol server? If so, what is the process?

Your question does not help your course either.
Different ISPs have different account settings.
What is yours ?

US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP
access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not Yahoo webmail.
Yahoo's solution is to pay them for premium "Mail Plus" service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/overview/index.html
and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

If you are OK with using a non-Yahoo email address, you have these other
solutions that will work with Windows Mail:
* Use the email address assigned to you by your ISP.
* Use a free Gmail, AOL, or Hotmail/Live account.

You can also continue to use Yahoo's webmail: http://mail.yahoo.com
If you need more help with any of these solutions, just ask.
