How do I set a browser other then Explorer as the default browser say when I
click on a html link in a email or elsewhere?

thank you

Look in the preferences or options in that browser. There should be an
option to set as default browser.

go to Start>program access and defaults..then select your default browser.
Open IE>tolls>program tab> clear the mark next to I.E should check to see if
it's the default browser.
Open your browser of choice, tell that to check /make it your default
browser.

You may have to clear your cookies/temp files, etc for the settings to take
affect.

so cool.....there it is! thanks!

You may use the "Set Program Access and Defaults" feature in the Control
Panel, Add/Remove Programs applet.
