how many recipients can receive an email

I have received this error message for every addressee when sending an email
to a large group of recipients, "No transport provider was available for
delivery to this recipient.".
Is there a limit to how many addressees can receive the same email
transmission?

Your ISP may impose a limit on how many recipients you can specify, but
Outlook doesn't.

Do you have Outlook 2003 with SP-1? If so, this may be caused by a bug in
Outlook. Try turning on authentication to your outgoing server (done on
the "Outgoing server" tab for the account), which may solve the problem.
If it doesn't, could you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after you encounter the problem?
