How Hide Toolbars? -MSIE7

Toolbars sometimes show when I open MSIE7 or additional MSIE7 windows,
sometimes toolbars don't show. Hidden toolbars is my preference, but I
cannot get them to disappear from the windows in which they show. All
selections are un-checked in the menu which pulls down with a right button
click on the toolbar. How can one reliably hide toolbars or reduce their
width?

The URL of an imbedded link would show in a box at the bottom of the MSIE6
window when the cursor hovered over that link. That was a handy feature
which I do not see in MSIE7. Is there any way MSIE7 will do that for us?

News stories anticipating the release of MSIE7 promised that MSIE7 would
cure the problem of earlier MSIE versions that web page text font was too
small. I am not seeing such a cure on my MSIE7 screen. Can MSIE7 make text
larger as previous versions could not? If so, how can the user make that
happen?

Try pressing the Alt key.

I like putting IE in full screen mode when I need the extra space.
Press F11.

This is called the status bar.

Click on Page and look for Zoom and Text Size.

Quickest way to enlarge text is to click on 100% in bottom right of window.
First click=125%, second click=150%, third click returns to 100%. If you
need it larger than that, use the small arrow next to 100% to select
something else.

That's one way to do it, and not a bad way, but I disagree that it's the
quickest way. Most people find that the quickest way is hold down the Ctrl
key and scroll the mouse wheel. One way makes it larger, the other smaller.

This has the advantage of being a Windows standard, and working in most
applications.

MSIE7 windows open full screen for me when I open them from the Internet
Explorer selection on the Start menu, so I have fallen back on doing it
that way for each of my open windows. When I open a MSIE7 window from the
new window selection in the file pull-down or by opening an embedded URL
into a new window, I cannot shed the toolbars. I then see no response from
F11 or the view-full screen command.

Thanks for the reply post about making the embedded URL under the cursor
show in the status bar. The toggle for making the status bar show/hide is
accessible by a right-button click on a toolbar.

Thanks for the tip about enlarging the browser page images by spinning the
mouse scroll button with the ctrl key down. I wish someone had shown me
that years ago!
