How fix, some avi's and pix don't open

Hi,

Somewhere along the line my system stopped opening some pix, and some
videos. Other's work fine.

I set all the controls I could find in IE 6 to enable, and set security to
it's lowest level. It still won't open some files.

For example, below is a link my Uncle sent me that won't open.

TIA for any ideas on how to resolve this.

There are several popular video formats. The one in the link above is a
Flash animation. The latest Flash player is available from
http://www.macromedia.com. Windows Media Player doesn't handle that file
type.
 
Thanks for the idea, Tim, I downloaded and installed as you suggested, but
it still won't open the files. What I get is a blank screen with a small
white square in the upper left hand corner in which are 3 small shapes: a
red square, what looks like a green half circle, and a blue tirangle.
