converting wmv to mpeg, and avi

Hello. I edited videos with windows movie maker, I sent them to pals who are
using mac but they couldnt open it. Please tell me what software do I use to
convert to mpg or avi?, I downloaded some free converter but there is an ad
of the software maker in the middle of my video. I hope you understand what
I am saying, English isnt my native language. TIA

I use ArcSoft ShowBiz v2.x
http://www.arcsoft.com/en/products/showbiz/

With it you can create a DVD or VCD. You can also maix and match graphic files, video files
and audio files and create a MPEG. In addition if you have a video capture card it can
utilize that as well in the MPEG or DVD/VCD creation.
