How does this connect directly to internet

I was trying out the Firefox browser at a friends insistence but was unable
to see how to get it to connect to the Internet. I can easily connect if I
have already established a connection with some other program. Any ideas?

I presume that you are dealing with a dial-up connection. Right? If that
is the case, the fix involves simply tweaking Windows dial-up settings. You
might look at

I think this may help. The real "problem" with Firefox is that it doesn't
hang up. There are a couple of little utilities that will automate hang-up.
The one I use is (as I recall) simply called "HangUp" and works seamlessly.
