How do you remove duplicated XP installation?

I was trying to re-install XP, but ended up installing a 2nd version on drive
C: from a CD boot. It is under C:\windows.0 & you now have the option to boot
either one. How do I remove the duplication without causing probelms?

Were you actually trying to "re-install" or were you trying to repair
install?

To me, re-install infers "clean". If that is the case - boot with the
Windows XP CD and when it asks where you want to install - delete the
partition(s), create new partition(s) and install.

If it should not infer clean and you mean to do a repair install - you can
edit the boot.ini and rid yourself of the option to boot to the other then
likely delete the offending directory. Make sure it is the correct
offending directory.
