How do you permanently supress markup in a Word doc?

I read somewhere that there was a way to permanently supress (erase?) markup
in an MSW doc. Does anyone know about this or about how to do more than they
give you on the MS website?

Thanks!

To permanently suppress this feature, go to View, and click once on "Markup".
This will toggle it off.

This does *not* remove the markup--just hides it.
