How do you know if New bios is ok ?

Hi I updated my bios with a new bios chip from FIC !

I went from a sak42 bios to a sam 41 the newest bios for motherboard !

My motherboard is a FIC Vi13 with a 2.0 intel pent 4

1.5 gig of ultra 266 2700 memory

I updated the chip so I could upgrade the processor to a 2.8 533 512 cache
intel pent 4 but when I do install it I get nothing but when I go back to
the old 2.0 it works fine is the bios bad or the 2.8 processor?

Maybe contact tech support for your board? This is not a Windows XP issue.
