How do you do a key word search among BCM history items?

It appears that when using the Outlook Advanced Find tool it does not extend
fully among the BCM history items such as Phone Log or Business Note. When
using regular Outlook I can do a field specific key word search like this
among any Journal item and find any historical item instantly. How do you do
this with BCM? Is this yet another design limitation oversight in what is
supposed to be a robust contact manager add on? A good data base needs to
allow its users to easily search and look up data. Am I missing something
here?

Could the MVP's or anyone else respond accurately about this? I would like
to at least know whether such a key word search among various BCM history
items can be done so I can decide intelligently whether to live with such a
limitation (if it exists) or not.

I may have found my own answer...

Upon further experimenting I realized that any key word searches done in
Outlook (Silly me, I have made this error innocently many times) must be
"folder-specific." In other words, the folder containing the Outlook item
type that you are searching for must be open. For example, in my previous
post scenario, I was trying to search for a key word in a random phone log.
BCM uses the Outlook UI and accordingly the Business History folder resembles
(or models)the similiar standard Outlook Journal folder for this type of
searchable item. As I display any of the Business History List views I can
then do any of the find functions and it works perfectly.

It would be nice if a future Outlook and/or BCM version had a more robust
"Global" find tool that could search all folders at once. Anyway, I am happy
to have caught my error and hope this post helps other non-techie, programmer-
type novices like me with this possible concern.

I wonder if lookout or other search tools work on it... but yes, outlook
needs a specific folder if you are not in the default pst/mailbox.
