How do you clean the registry?

From other postings, I've gotten the distinct impression that JV16 is
considered one of the best registry cleaners around.

I've been using it with some nervousness as I see so many entries that I
could/should remove.

I'm wondering how people use this utility. Do you just remove a very
few things? Do you let it remove everything the program says can be
removed?

TIA

Hi Louise,
JV16 is really not for beginers you can really mess your
system up deleting something that you should not have,
if you are not having problems don'r mess with your
registry. But if you must create a backup of it first.

Ashampoo's WinOptimizer Suite is probably the best program
to use especially for beginners. I recommend that you try
it... it cleans out redundant registry keys, dlls, files,
and your internet cache safely and it's automated,
requiring very little user interface.
