spring cleaning the registry

Where in the registry does it hold the info for
downloaded programs?Problem is,I thought I had a clean
registry,till my friend told me that when-ever I download
trial offers,they leave entries in the registry.So I
checked with inetdisable--2 week trial,2 weeks later it's
exp. remove from add/remove programs,regedit removed all
listings with inetdisable,tried to reload it(though I
have no use for it)it says my scrip is exp..How do I
remove this from the regedit,as so to have this totally
gone from the system?

It's not causing your registry any harm. On the other hand, you can do great
harm to your registry by trying to do "spring cleaning." Leave it be.
