System Mechanic vs JV16 Power Tools?

I'm primarily looking for a registry cleaner and have used
JV16 in the past, but the last time I used it and let it do
its job automatically, disaster followed and I had to
restore from a backup.

I'm wondering about opinions of JV16 vs System Mechanic -
or anything else?

I use jv16 without problems but not too much anymore.
WInXP doesn't really need a registry cleaning so I use
jv16 mainly for checking what new entry's I get after
installing a new program or so. I would suggest to let
jv16 create the backup before you choose to clean the
reg., this way you can just restore the entrys if
something goes wrong.
