How do you change your account from "limited" to "administrator"?

My son made his account "administrator" and mine "limited". Short of
uninstalling and reinstalling Windows XP or dealing with a stubborn kid, is
there any other way to change from "limited" to "administrator" and lock it
in so someone else doesn't change it?

Parent-vs.-Child PC skirmish. Allowing anyone Administrator privileges
enables them to do whatever they wish. If using XP Home you only have
two privilege levels Administrator/Limited. Regardless of how stubborn
your son is, you have the authority ( Parents Handbook Page 4 ). But no
matter what measures you take they ( Children ) will see it as a challenge
and match you move for move.

Just boot to Safe Mode, At the welcome screen choose Administrator.
Once booted, use the Users Applet in Control Panel to grant yourself
administrator privileges.

The only known solution to this problem is separate computers for the
adults and children. And a rule that says "IF you break yours, you
C A N N O T use mine!".

You have to log into an administrator account to change this.

If you're using XP Home, you can log into the actual Admninistrator
account, in Safe Mode to re-promote yours, demote his, then put good
passwords on both the Administrator and your account.

Don't lose these passwords, but periodically log into the Admin account
to see the last login time. If it wasn't when you last checked, change
the passwords.

There could be more you can do, but what's available and how you do it
depends on the version of XP you're using.

In today's world?? Need you ask? Wrong era. You're fallin
behind the times.

Most parents today are puss.. and self consumed with their own shit.
I see things like that once or twice a week in my work. The kid screams
and they bend over. If a thing like that happens in my house the kid
sleeps with the dogs for a week, sharing food with them. There is only
one master in my house, the wife being the assistant .
