How do I write macros

I have a two page worksheet. On the first page I have a column with 4 - 6
cells containing options in a drop down menu. Only one item can be selected
at one time from the 4 to 6 cells. I need to copy to one cell in the second
page, whatever item is selected from these cells on page one. How do I do
this?
