How do I use delivery options together with local PST-file ?

I'm using Outlook 2003, a PST-file on my PC to deliver e-mail to and MS
Exchange server in the LAN.
If I create a new email with delivery options set to deliver this email in
future (e.g. next day 10:00), the email won't leave my outbox-folder in the
PST-file on my local PC until this particular time is reached. Thus I'm
unable to shut down Outlook, as it immediatelly complains about "there are
still e-mails waiting in Your outbox...".
(or I shut down my PC, but then this email does not leave the Outbox).

How to solve this ?
Can I redirect send email to the outbox folder on my exchange server only (
keeping delivery of incomming email to my local PST-file) ?

thx

No. Why are you using a PST file? I don't recommend this. If your data is
important, it belongs on the server, so it can be centrally managed, backed
up, and accessed from other computers (such as via OWA). I don't allow users
to use PST files for delivery on any of my clients' networks and I even
discourage archiving to PST - PST files are fragile things, and are not
ideal for corporate mail use.

Change your delivery location from the PST to the Exchange mailbox.

No, but ou can use rules to move incoming messages from the Exchange mailbox
to the PST.

Right. And I answered your question - see the word "no" at the beginning of
my reply?
