New pst... do I redirect delivery now?

Have outlook 2003. Got the message my pst was too large. Been reading the
help files and all over this forum to figure it out. I created new personal
folder. Am moving all my other folders into it.
My question is... do I keep my old origianl pst as the mail delivery
location or do I change it to the new pst file I created?

Thanks,
Nancy

I guess the old PST file was a 97-2002 PST file, and the new one a
2003-type file.

Once you have moved all data from the old to the new file, I really
don't see any need to keep the old one. Change the delivery to the new
file, then close the old one.

You definitely want to change the default mail location to your new .PST so
all of the latest information stays together. Did you create your new .PST
file in the new Unicode format introduced in Outlook 2003? If so, you won't
have the space issues anymore.

Well I cant see how to change the defualt delivery. I'll read in the help
file. My problem is I never learned to use this software properly (though
Iv'e used it for years.) I'm just going to do some reading and learn the
basics of how these pst files work etc. Then I won't have these issues or
have to keep bugging you folks. Though I sure appreciate the help I've gotten
here!
Thanks for the info on this.
