How do I un-hide the unread message alert?

There's a small envelope that appears in the bottom right hand side taskbar
when a new e-mail is received, and I accidentally hid it, and now I don't
know how to get it back.

There's a small envelope that appears in the bottom right hand side
taskbar when a new e-mail is received, and I accidentally hid it, and
now I don't know how to get it back.

This is a Windows question, not an Outlook question. RIght-click the
Taskbar, choose Properties, then click Customize. Locate "You have new
unopened items" and change "Always hide" to "Always show". Click OK, then
OK.
