How to unhide the "envelop" icon in the taskbar (bottom right) fo.

I am using Windows 2000 and MS Office 2003 version. I used to get an
"envelop" in the bottom right corner of taskbar when a new mail arrives. It
used to turn off after I had read that message. I accidently hid it. Now I am
not able to know when a new mail arrives. I have set the desktop alert but
that can stay only for a little time. So, if I am not looking at the screen
constantly and want to know if there are any new messages there in the
Outlook, I have to go to Outlook window. Earlier, I could see it from the
envelop icon... Is there a way to restore the settings so that I can start
seeing the "envelop" again whenever I receive a new message?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Vinod.

Yes. You should be able to reactivate it by going to Tools, Options, Email
Options, Advanced Email Options. There is a checkbox for "Show envelope
icon".

I would like to create a macro for Outlook to unhide the envelope icon in the lower righ=
t corner of the screen. =

I hide the icon by right-clicking it and selecting "hide envelope=E2=80=9D when I do=
n=E2=80=99t want to be distracted by new email. So, one click! =

But=E2=80=A6to unhide it takes 8 clicks (tools, options, email, advanced, etc, ok,=
ok, ok). I saved one click by adding options to my toolbar, but there has to be more time=
savings to be had than that. Anyone up to the challenge? =

It would be MOST appreciated!
