How do I turn off slide transition

I copied a slide from another presentation that had slide transition. I don't
want to have to click the mouse five times in my own presentation to show the
entire slide but don't seem to be able to turn the transition off and retain
the entire slide. Can you suggest how to do this?

Do you mean the animations within the slide?

Try clearing the animations task pane instead of the transition one.
