How do I turn off notification before deleting text?

I have Word 2003.

Whenever I highlight text, then hit the DELETE key, Word prompts me with
"Delete Block? No (yes)" down in the status bar.

It's driving me crazy. I just want the text to delete automatically without
the notification.

Odd thing is that my Word at home automatically deletes the text, but here
at work it won't delete it unless I type Y to the answer.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two boxes for
WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.
