How do I Sync all Calander enteries with handheld

When I sync my desktop with my palm handheld, the birthdate/ Anniversary
enteries for people whom I do not have an actual Conact entery for them in my
Contact Folder do not get transfered over from my desktop into my handheld.

For example, I have my brother as a Contact and under detail tab I enter his
BD. When I sync the two devices, this BD is transfered from my desktop into
my handheld. However, let's say for his wife's BD, I do not want ot have a
Contact Entery and I only want to enter her BD in my Calander. But, when I go
to Calander Folder and enter a recurring BD for her, it only shows up on my
desktop and is not transfered into my handheld after syncing the two devices.

check your sync software settings - it is configured to sync recurring
appointments?
