The Old Timer

I couldn't get a hard drive to format so I had Partition Magic 8 do the job
once the PC had rebooted. Now every time I reboot I get the message that
'one of my drives has to be checked for consistency. This it does but it
never finds any problem. This check occurs now every time I turn the PC
on. How do I stop this check?

Hi,

Click start/run, type cmd and click ok. From the prompt, run "chkntfs /d"
(without the quotes) and hit <enter>. This should reset the dirty bit that
is causing chkdsk to run.
