I have disconnected my sound card drivers and only want sound through
my pc case speaker.

When I copy or cut selected text, I get a beep.
Does this make sense?

How can I stop this?

You might try disabling the device the in the system settings.

The whole speaker?

By thew way, I've discovered that this is 'feature' of a text
editor I use - NoteTab Pro - when one keeps a doc open
assigned to mirror/copy all text.
