how do i stop outlook from compressing files

when i go to shut down my outlook it keeps asking me to compress files in my
folders. i did not have that before and i didnt know what to do so i said
yes and lost important info and folders. how do i shut this feature off. can
i get back theese folder somehow thanks moe

Sounds to me you are talking about Outlook Express here and not Microsoft
Office Outlook.

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
