How do I stop Outlook 2007 sending multiples of emails?

I've just started using Outlook 2007 and whenever I send an email with an
attachments, it seems to continually resend the same email for some reason.
I've searched Microsoft for help, but can't find anything on it. Please help!
 
After an upgrade it is recommended to recreate your mail profile which can
also catch these sort of issues.

If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook make sure that it
is at least compatible with Outlook 2007 or disable this integration
completely (recommended).
