How do i stop .doc documents opening in wordpad

When ever I open a '.doc' document it defaults to opening in Wordpad & not
Word, so i cannot read it? Any ideas anyone?

Right click on one of your word documents then click on properties then click

Right-click a Word document and from Open With, select Microsoft Word.
