How do I stop bulk spam deliveries on Outlook 2000?

In the last few days I have received floods of unwanted spam. What can I do
to stop it?

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup, one for your mail reader.

The only way to *stop* SPAM is to get a new email address, and never
post it on any newsgroup, website, or any less than 100% trustworthy
mail recipient. Even that's not a guarantee. You can cut down on it
using one or two good spam filters (I use both Norton and
Spamhilator), but some still gets through. Until a LOT of spammers,
and the businesses that patronize spammers, end up very conspicuously
going to jail - or (less likely) - until there are no more fools who
respond to spam offers, the problem will continue.
