when i make a new slide for my presentation (i'm new at this) will have i
have click to show each item on my slide. i tried the auto/view with esc to
stop but i must be doing something wrong.

or . . . is that how powerpoint is. click at every slide. in preview
slide all info is shown without me clicking.

thanks

In the "slide show" menu go to slide transition and tick the box
"automatically after " fill in a time and then apply to all slides

HI JOHN,

MY QUESTION WAS - WHEN I AM SHOWING MY SLIDES - IS THERE A WAY THAT I DO NOT
HAVE TO CLICK ON EACH ITEM SENTENCE PER INDIVIDUAL SLIDE TO SHOW? WHEN I
PLAY PREVIEW - EACH ITEM SHOWS ALL AT ONCE. I REALIZE THAT I WILL HAVE TO
CLICK TO SHOW MY NEXT SLIDE, BUT I'M JUST THINKING IF I HAVE 6 STATEMENTS ON
A SLIDE I WILL HAVE TO CLICK SIX TIMES? ISN'T THERE A WAY I CAN JUST
AUTOMATICALLY SHOW EACH SLIDE, BUT CLICK ONCE TO GET TO MY NEXT SLIDE.

YIKES - THE MORE I KNOW THE MORE I AM GETTING CONFUSED. I DID IT YOUR WAY
BUT WHEN I SHOW MY SLIDE - I'M STILL CLICKING EVERY PIECE OF INFORMATION ON
EACH SLIDE.

THANKS AGAIN

Bugs,
There are two ways to make things change in PowerPoint. You can change
slides by using transitions. You change elements on a slide by using
animations. It sounds like you have both the animations and the transitions
set to go "On Click". John has told you how to change the transitions, this
article will tell you more about starting your animations so that you can
get around that half of your problem:

Finally, please don't type in all caps. It is the equivalent of shouting at
us. I know you may be frustrated, but remember these two things:
1) We are all volunteering are time and effort to help you and others
2) We can't see what you see, we only see what you tell us. John answered
the question he thought you asked the first time. I didn't realize you were
talking about animations until this second post either....

I believe life is meant to be lived. But:
if we live without making a difference, it makes no difference that we lived

did not realize that all caps felt as tho I was shouting at anyone - that's
how i usually type. in realizing this is volunteer work - I, too, appreciate
the help and realize that no one sees what each other is doing. maybe you
could give me a break.

i'll try the suggestion.

thanks
