How would I share a CD rom drive on a network with two machines? One person
in the office's cd rom drive doesn't work and I need to share mine with her.

Any help please.

Thanks.

Your message indicates that there's at least one person in your office's CD
drive. This is likely to be the source of your problem.

That person's CD Drive on her computer is broken. So I need to share mine
with her. How do I do it?

You can't. You need to replace the defective CD drive.

Right click on your drive and select the option for Properties->Sharing.
Check the box under Network sharing and security. If this is a CD-R/W drive
and you use packet writing (like InCD) you can also check "Allow network
users to change my files" otherwise leave that unchecked.

On her system she will need first open an Explorer windows and select
Tools->Map Network Drive then browse to the location of the network share
for the CD drive.

Little space left to insert a CD - don't you think?
