I seem to have lost the switchboard wizard on Access 2000. Does anybody have
any suggestions? I have removed and re-installed several times and it
doesn't seem to help. Your suggestions appreciated.

hi,
a switchboard is just another form, nothing real special.
It has a special name because of what it does more that
what it is.
I don't use switchboards instead i perfer to make my own.
they are just forms with buttons that open other forms, or
run reports or other special things.
I would recomend that you create your own switch board. I
think in the long run you will find this more flexable.
I found that sometimes, wizards steer you in directions
you don't want to go so i learned not to rely on them and
have found it better in the long run.
post back if you have question.
good luck.

Hi and thanks for the advice. I'm not a whiz at setting up data bases, so I
use the wizard functions quite a bit. I tried to manually set up the form
but got complete lost. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You're just looking in the wrong place. The help and previous versions put
it at Tools, Add-ins... but you'll find it really is in Tools, Database
Utilities...

Hi and thanks for the help. I had looked there previously and it wasn't
there. So I reinstalled Access again, only this time on another drive and
that seemed to do the trick - the wizard appeared.
