How do I set up Outlook 2003

I have recently installed Outlook 2003 on laptop. My email server is
eircom.net
through which I have been sending and receiving emails.
However after installing Outlook 2003 ,I am still not getting any emails in
Outlook 2003 inbox. Can you help.
 
Do you get any error messages?
