how do I set up a rule to delete certain messages from the "Sent .

I have a special button that can forward junk mail to our spam software
vendor but it puts a copy in the "Sent items" folder. I periodically have to
delete them. I'm tired of dealing with them. I want them deleted
automatically but the Outlook rules for processing a message after I've sent
it only allow me to "copy" the message to the "deleted items" folder, not
"move" it. I could apply a custom rule, except that there are no custom
rules listed, I don't know how to add them and I cannot find out a way to add
or download them.

If you wish to do this periodically, just open the Sent Items folder, select
everything and press Delete. Much cleaner than a rule, because you
explicitly control it.

Thanks for the advice, Brian, but this is what I do now (although via an
easier way by using a defined search folder) and my question was for an
automated solution. Your telling me I don't need one is not helpful.
