How do I set up a new profile?

I have a computer that I used for work and when I left the company they let
me keep it. I want to set up Outlook for my home e-mail. Previously it was
set up on an Exchange Server but now I want to use Internet Mail. I have done
everything I need to and have created the new profile, only it won't start
because it says "a location to send a receive mail could not be found." I
used help and it tells me to click "Services" under the "Tools" menu, but
"Services" does not appear. Only "Macros", "Customize" and "Options". I don't
have the installation disk. Is there any way I can fix this? I have tried
setting it up through Control Panel>Mail, but under "Deliver new mail to the
following location" it says "None" and I have no way to change it. Help!

No one is going to be able to help you until you explain what Outlook version you're using.

Create a pst-file and set that as the default delivery location.

If you don't mind, could you explain how to do this?
