How do I set up a header on every slide in powerpoint?

I'm trying to set up a heading that will appear on each slide in smaller
print at the top corner.
 
You can do this on the Slide Master. Go to the view menu and select "Master",
then "slide master". Whatever you put on the master will apear on every
slide.
 
You can use the footer box on the master and move it to the top of the slide.
