How do I schedule a resource in Outlook 2007 with Exchange Server?

I am using Outlook 2007 with BCM - I manage rental units that I would like to
schedule as resources. I am the only person who will be scheduling them and I
am not using Exchange Server. Is there a way schedule resources without
Exchange?

Thanks

Consider creating a calendar folder for each unit. You can put the scheduling information there for each one.

I'm not sure I understand the question - I want to schedule it in my calendar
- I've played with using multiple calendars or just one with four color coded
apartments - the problem I have is that I would like to link it to a business
contact in BCM (which is my guest) - but I don't want to send an email to
them (maybe later I will figure out how to use this feature, but not yet).

I have played with multiple calendars, but the problem is that I can't get am
appointment or meeting to display in the proper calendar when I add it
through a contact record. I know that in Outlook it is the farthest left or
top calendar that gets the appointment - but for some reason this didn't work
for me in BCM
What I would REALLY love to do is find a way to customize my contact form so
with check-in and check-out dates and a calendar drop down selection list
(both of which I have added already) to automatically show up on the proper
calendar.
TIA

If you create a new appointment from a contact record and want to save it in a calendar other than the default calendar, use the File | Move to Folder command instead of Save and Close.

The folks on the BCM newsgroup -- microsoft.public.outlook.bcm -- should be able to help you understand what can and can't be customized in your version of BCM. There's no expertise in that area in this forum.
