How do I save an Email as a Template ?

I used to use Webmail and could save various Templates - for example - if
someone called and wanted an application form - (On Webmail) I would go to
Drafts - and then choose which-ever draft I needed to send.

However on Outlook, I saved the same forms as Drafts; someone called and I
forwarded the Application Form to them; the problem was that when someone
else called for the same form - it was no longer in Drafts?

How can I save various Templates and not have them vanish everytime I
forward them out? I'm not very I.T Literate, so a step by step would be
greatly appreciated. i have Outlook 2007, on Windows Vista.
 
It depends a bit on what is in the template. If it is just text, then you
can save it as a Quick Part.

Otherwise, you could also save it as a template (oft-file) via the Office
Logo in the left top corner and choose Save As.
 
Are you forwarding the template as a template for opening it and sending it
as a message? Forwarding (or inserting as an attachment) should keep it in
drafts - opening it and sending as a message removes it from drafts.

As an FYI - I store templates in a mail folder (I named it Templates) so
they are easy to find and use. (you need to save to the file system and copy
to the folder in Outlook).
