I'm getting hard drive crash warnings, and I want to save all of my inbox
emails to an external drive.

Is there an easy way to do this so I can easily retrieve them?

Close outlook and copy your pst file to the drive.

So the file named "Outlook.pst" in the local hard drive documents and
settings file has everything?

Everything other than Email Account data and Rules.....

Hi: I've run into a challenge: when copying the outlook.pst file from my
hard drive to the server storage drive I get the following message:

"CANNOT COPY OUTLOOK: The process cannot access the file because another
process has locked a portion of the file"

I exited Outlook before trying to copy.

Any ideas??? Thanks much

Look in Task manager to see if Outlook is REALLY closed - sometimes it
doesn't close properly. Also have you got a PDA attached?

It went thanks again
