How do I save a file without showing the changes I've made?

I created a christmas letter in Word, tracked changes, then hit final, and
save. I sent the document as an attachment and my friends received the one
showing the delections, additions, etc and notes out to the side. It's in
the page layout format and looks great after hitting final, but then it saves
the file showing the changes. Help!
