how do i run in safe mode

sorry i dont know that much about computers but how do i switch to safe mode? and what is it?
 
Hi

Do you need to access Safe Mode for a specific purpose? Safe Mode can be used for troubleshooting. It loads only a very few drivers, so some hardware won't work. You can access Safe Mode by hitting F8 after a reboot.
