I loaded winXP upgrade, from a WIN98 OS that had the Active Desktop
Deactivated.
The new screens had the new XP look with all of the folders having the blue
side
panels, with graphic areas on the side. Somehow, this new xp view has been
changed back to classic view. All folders appear as if they were
pre-upgraded without active desktop.
I went into Tools, then Folder Options, The "tasks" selection has the "Show
common tasks in folders" greyed out and the "Use Windows Classic Folders" as
the only item that can be selected.
I select restore defaults, but all it does is move the radio button to the
"show common tasks in folders" but it doesn't actually change any of the
settings.
I just want to get the windows back to normal (What XP should Look Like).
Any suggestions?
