How do I restore archived Outlook content from CD?

I have upsized my hard drive and archived my Outlook content to a CD. When I
try to get it back using "import and export" I am advised that I do not have
"appropriate permission" to perform that task? Please help me to get back my
messages and address book.
 
You should use Export/Import only in connection with non-Outlook data.

Just copy the backup archive back to your HD, remove the read-only
attribute, and you should be able to open it from within Outlook.
