how do I remove partitions

I am trying to update from Win98se to XP, but I currently
have a partition on my hard drive. How do I remove the
partition, wipe the hard drive clean, and install XP as
the only operating system? Any advice would be
appreciated.
 
You can use Partition Magic.
Works wonders.
I recommend that. Give it a try and you see.
