It erases everything - your stuff included.

Boot from Your Windows CD.. Delete all partitions, create new ones..
Install.
Be sure to NOT be connected to the Internet in any way UNTIL you turn on
your firewall.. Then head straight to:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Update with all critical updates - it may take several reboots and revisists
to the site.
