How do I remove an incorrect e mail address from the to box

I've entered an incorrect e mail address on the "to" line when creating a new
e mail. When I start to input an e mail address, I get a drop down menu with
the incorrect address there and the correct one also. I would like to delete
the incorrect e mail address so it doesn't keep showing up in my list. How
do I do it?
