How Do I Read a Wordpad Document

When I try to open it, I get in a popup box "Microsoft
Word 97 Conversion": Unable to load graphics conversion
filter ... Continue with document conversion? Then I am
unable to continue.
I would appreciate any insight or help. Thanks.

Try right-clicking the document. Place cursor on "Open with..." in the
pop-up menu, which gets a list of available programs; Wordpad should be in
the list. Click on it and this should open the document with it.
