how do i put my screen back properly?

i put dvd in my pc the other night and now, my screen doesnt fit properly in
my monitor screen. its as though my screen is too big. can you tell me how to
put it back properly please. thank you.

Right-click on the desktop and select 'Properties' > 'Settings' > 'Screen
Resolution' and alter it back to what it was, (if you know), my laptop is
set to 1024 x 768 but your screen may be different. The alternative way is
'Start' > 'Settings' > 'Control Panel' >'Display' > 'Settings' > 'Screen
Resolution'
