And don't expect much in the way of support from free hosts...and you'll probably h ave to deal with adverts they will insert on your web pages.

That is, if you don't what nagging in-your-face advertising blaring at you that the "free" hosts provide. So this won't be a "no cost" venture. There are of course hosts out there that offer quite a lot for minimal fees eg $7.00/month in some cases for decent unix or even windows hosting.
