How do I print large font sizes from Word?

Cannot get my printer, Deskjet 722C, to print any font sizes larger than
about 12. How can I correct this problem? Using Word in a simple document.
 
Have you applied a larger font size to the text in your document?

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have applied a larger font size to the
text. The printer does not respond to the larger point sizes. Can you help me?

Have you established that this printer is capable of printing graphics? That
is required for a printer to print scalable TrueType fonts. Otherwise it's
just a text printer.
